Past speakers at the Forum have included Portsmouth Mayor John Rowe, Naval Station Norfolk Commanding Officer Capt. Richard McDaniel, Peggy Layne on our Mega Region, Thomas Quattlebaum (Sea Level Rise Fellow at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation), Chesapeake Vice Mayor Rick West, ODU economist Chip Filer, Hampton Roads Economic Alliance CEO/President Rick Weddle, Norfolk Mayor Kenny Alexander, Virginia Secretary of Transportation Aubrey Layne, VAR Deputy General Counsel Laura Farley, and Reinvent Hampton Roads CEO/President Jim Spore. All REALTORS® are encouraged to participate in the 2018 Economic & Advocacy Summit in Richmond on Feb. 14.

Every year HRRA travels to Richmond in early February to join our colleagues from across Virginia to meet with state legislators, inform them about what is happening in the market, and lobby for VAR's legislative agenda. Seats are available for free on HRRA's chartered bus for the round trip. Note that each individual REALTOR® who intends to attend must register via the Virginia REALTORS® website. You cannot register through HRRA. Registration is $75 per individual, payable online before the Summit.
